Conan's vision of television's future

[TV Squad] beat him in the opening monolog. Conan is a far better interviewer than Jay but his opening routine is tiresome, childish and at times strange. I ti painful to see each night, Dave is by far the smartest of these three but you always get the impression that he cant wait to leave. Jay on the other hand has many faults and rough edges yet his saving grace is he loves to work , he loves his fans and audience, and he seem genuinely happy with his life.

And no, I dont care that you think your girlfriend... presidential candidates - Jay Len's bloated salary - sex clones - why the plus in "A+" should affect your GPA - the proliferation of the word "ass" - being a super senior - Week of Welcome - hurricanes - Conan O
[Penndit] C&J: Muzzle the Republicans & Put a Condom on Kay Kays Face: * Hotline: Jay Leno: The Pentagon announced they are closing more than 150 military bases around the country. If the Bush administration wants to close military bases, how about we start with the ones with Iraq? You know when President Bush first thought about closing bases?
[CHILD OF TELEVISION] Long live the King! (Click PODCAST): Because of the darkness of the hour, the guard allowed me to the drive her on to the lot (a big deal in itself and something that would never happen today) and told me to drop off my friend at the talent entrance. The parking space closet to this entrance belonged to Johnny Carson. Since there was no one else around I thought, what the hell. I parked in Johnny Carsons parking spot for probably all of a minute.
[Penndit] C&J: Non-retraction retraction: * (Hotline) Jay Leno: "At the time of the alert, Dick Cheney was in the White House working while President Bush was getting some exercise in a park in Maryland. [Lakeneuron.com] Lake Neuron » Blog Archive » Jay, Dave and Conan: (Carson started in New York but later moved to California.) It’s just easier to get celebrity guests in L.A. — and when celebrities do come to New York to promote their latest projects, it becomes repetitive, because they’re likely to appear with Dave, Conan, Regis and Jon Stewart within a few days of each other. NBC is considering replacing its Burbank, Calif., studios, and I’ve read speculation that this may mean moving them to the Universal Studios complex. (NBC merged with Universal earlier this year.) A new “Tonight Show” studio, built especially for Conan, could become a major tourist attraction for the Universal theme park.
[Lakeneuron.com] Lake Neuron » Blog Archive » Jay makes it official: I have to say, Jay’s announcement tonight was classy and forthright. He said that, after he signed a five-year contract extension, NBC approached him to discuss the problem of how to keep Conan. Jay said he wanted to avoid the kind of hard feelings that surrounded his fight with Letterman for the Tonight Show, and that he saw an opportunity to leave the show while still on top.

[Marksmusings78.blogspot.com] love lifts us up where we blog: September 2004: I miss it quite a bit sometimes. I spent many many hours playing on the beach, fishing off the pier with my Mom and brother Dave, and walking along the line of big rocks that were placed at one point along the shore to prevent erosion. I am lucky to have grown up along the water. As I grew up, building sandcastles was replaced by walking along the longer of the two beaches on the west side of town across the bridge, spending time thinking, reading, praying, writing.
[Comicbookgalaxy.com] The ADD Blog at Comic Book Galaxy - Pushing Comix Forward Since 2000: Dave Sim -- I first started reading Cerebus in its first two or three years, when Sim was casting off his Conan/BWS influence and beginning to explore a deeper sociopolitical sphere, reaching creatively but always staying funny no matter how complex the series became. Over time I lost touch with comics -- pretty much all of them -- including Cerebus. Nearly three decades later, Sim is just days away from fulfilling his promised 300 issue goal, and Sim has become a polarizing force among comics readers, some of whom continue to love Sim's work, others who are disturbed or angered by his outspoken, iconoclastic views on sex, politics and religion.
