How TV is Changing Our Lives

[Archived in Entry]

[The Wired Home Weblog - Transform your home into a digital media center - Pop Out a Baby, Get a Free TiVo!] With the advent of DVRs, TV has changed quite a bit. The Chicago Tribune has a rather large and interesting article that hits on 6 ways TV has changed our lives, starting with:

Some slightly related:

[The Mahablog] Then and Now: I've been reading 13 Seconds: A Look Back at the Kent State Shootings by Philip Caputo. It's pretty good, marred by a couple of small glitches--the book misquotes a line from "Subterranean Homesick Blues" and attributes "Bad Moon Rising" to Jimi Hendrix instead of John Fogerty--ouch. That may be the fault of bad copyediting, though.

[Another swipe at this thing they call blogging] Tiger streak!: Andy Ihnatko, writing for the Chicago Sun-Times, says Apple shatters Windows with Tiger. Column starts off by describing the past Mac OS X releases and then goes on about the different Tiger features. Reviewers have then tendency to forget to mention that the highly touted multi-video conferencing is not available to users who doesn't have a souped up Mac PC.
