What really floored me was this paragraph though:Illegal song trading has been blamed by the record industry for declines in sales, and labels have become increasingly aggressive in their legal battles to defend their product.

But it matters not -- these companies have successfully built brands around being the MSO of audio with great sub-brands that act as anchor tenants for their content mall (like MLB for XM).
