Skipping commercials: evil
[Archived in Dvd Recorder Panasonic, Entry]
Kayne on 2002/12/09:
„How's this for a proposal - consumers who don't like commericals can pay 1 cent per commerical skipped. I fail to see how this benefits consumers - I already can do this using my Panasonic DVD-Recorder . I don't pay by the commerical, either. I just buy a blank re-recordable DVD-RAM, set up the timer (ok, Jen actually does that bit), and that makes me one of the "bad guys", according to Comcast CEO Roberts.“

„"This is the most secure version of Windows we have ever released," said Culp, adding that complex software "will always fall short of perfection." How can XP be both the most secure version of Windows and also have one of the worst types of security flaws (remote access to absolutely everything on your machine)? This is a 100 mph spin if I've ever seen one.“http://www.gregrushton.com/archives/ 2001_12.html - Cached
„This show never jumped!Ok,maybe when they brought Riley in,but after he left,it jumped back. How could a show with a guy as hot and talented as James Marsters (Spike) jump the shark? He was soo evil when he first showed up,but then I wuz watchin the one where he tells Buffy about his life and how he killed the two other slayers and in the beginning flashbacks he played this mouse-y all-in-love-with-a-girl-who-dislikes-him guy and it totally worked for him!At one point,Buffy pushes him down and tells him 'You're beneath me',the same thing that the girl he loved all those years ago said and he almost started to cry.At the end of the eppy when he goes to kill Buffy,he finds her crying on the back porch b/c her mom wuz really sick and he's all worried and comforting. How many actors in Hollywood can play all those diffrent emotions like he can???“http://www.jumptheshark.com/b/buffy/buffy7.htm - Cached
„Assuming an average household size of 4, that means that, on average, each telemarketer would only call around 40 houses a day before they'd start to repeat. If this were actually the case, telemarketing wouldn't really be that bad; we could get to know these telemarketers.“http://www.evilblog.net/archives/2003_07.html - Cached
