„. I must say, I really enjoyed this one. Itisn't as good as SOTL - purely because there's hardly any suspense. Ireally liked SOTL - so I watched it again to refresh the story (which I suggesteveryone does) and purposely read all the BAD reviews of Hannibal (so I wouldn'tbe disappointed.). It seems to have worked. Some four hours later,the film is still clanging around in my head. Hannibal couldn't have been betterthan its predecessor. I didn't mind the absence of Jodie Foster- afterabout two seconds you get used to Julianne Moore - she makes a greatStarling. I would have suggested that Moore be cast as her sister - andhave Hannibal going after Clarice's sister - would've been an interesting"keep it in the family" sort of thing. A minor point. Thegore? Not gruesome enough. Don't worry: it's a good thing -- I'msorry, but if you've seen Starship Troopers, and Peter Jackson or Lloyd Kaufmanmovie, these so called "gory bits" are extremely tame.
