„I am really worried about ordering this, it not working that well (especially output to a 27" CRT TV), and being stuck with a huge restocking fee. I don't really like Gateway as a rule, I prefer Dell, but it seems the most powereful video card they offer is 64Mb which is just odd. „When you do have to use more than one disk for going to DVD (which at highest quality you will...a lot!) the unit will split and name them automatically which sounds great and should be standard as it saves you a lot of babysitting etc, But, it appears that the unit drops about a second between disks (could be more or less) and I've lost words or parts of lines of dialog and who knows what!“http://www.stargeek.com/item/15239.html - Cached

„Background The DV-09 was Pioneer's no-holds barred approach to a DVD player. It is also one of the very first THX Ultra certified DVD players. We are strong supporters of THX and believe their goals for DVD player design and use are first rate. Unfortunately this player does not live up to the THX promise. One of the THX DVD player parameters is usability, and this player falls flat on its face in that regard, with video and audio quality not far behind. Video The video quality of the DV-09 is disappointing. This player has received numerous accolades, and we really don't understand why. We did get a chance to look at a second DV-09, and it performed identical to the one we tested so we know our test unit was not faulty.
